A humble little restaurant run by a wonderfully warm Italian woman with true passion. She serves the best carbonara I’ve ever had authentic, perfectly balanced, and unforgettable.

Super friendly staff, food was delicious. Our server blew us all away with her fantastic memory. We ordered the tagliatelle with mushroom, pasta with pesto, margherita pizza, mushroom pizza and tiramisu. Highly recommend all.

We were invited in off the street when looking for a restaurant open on a Tuesday. We’ve spent the past 10 days in Italy (Venice and Rome) and this was my absolute favourite meal. I would’ve taken photos of the meal BEFORE we ate, but after the salad and bruschetta, we were all too excited to eat the mains. For reference, the empty plate was ravioli. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Italian food. Don’t be put off by the fact that there’s burgers on the menu. The owners were welcoming and attentive. After a tour at the Vatican, we stopped here for a bite and a beverage. When I finally selected the porchetta sandwich, the wonderful older woman serving me told me it was the best item on the menu.
And she wasn't wrong. Tender, well seasoned pork and soft, chewy sandwich bread. It was a great, hearty bite.

Stopped in here after a long day at the Vatican museums due to the amazing reviews and how close it was, and it was amazing! It felt so intimate and warm. The pizza and pasta were so delicious! We felt so welcomed and very well taken care of by the staff. Definitely recommend! IMO the reviews are spot on!
Stumbled across this place while searching for a dinner place in our first night in Rome. The starter which was Parma ham and melon was amazing. The carbonara pasta that followed and the chicken was also equally mind blowing. We ended the meal with the homemade tiramisu, it was perfect ending to our meal. Will be back again in our stay in Rome.

I’ve never experienced Italian cuisine like this. Reasonable pricing everything taste fresh customer service was phenomenal, AC if you choose to sit in doors, you’re in Italy, prepare to wait for service, went to restaurants for conversations not a quick meal, you will be waiting That is normal. Be respectful and enjoy. Great place for dates. Great place for family. I felt like family. Definitely a must stop shop.- Cibo

The establishment provided exceptional service and delectable cuisine during our week-long stay in Rome. The pizza and pasta were particularly exceptional, and I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting the city. After searching Rome for 4 days for good food, we finally stumbled across this little gem. Although from the outside it’s yellow tables were off putting for my other half. I urged her that we must try. Been for 2 meals now both the pasta and pizza are delectable. The owners are so accommodating and nice. 11/10 would recommend going. I only got a picture of the pizza with my other half in so enjoy a cropped pic.

We have experienced the best food and service in Rome, here at Pausa Café. Their Margherita pizza was the best I’ve ever had, as well as the rest of the food we ordered. Also , we had the opportunity to meet Josephine, Giorgio, and Jacqueline, who were very friendly. They made us feel at home. If you visit this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you!
Me and my partner came here today for lunch on our last day of our holiday and we really wish we found this place sooner! We enjoyed it so much we came back again for dinner. Food was delicious and staff were so nice and friendly especially the lady who served us (I think she was the owner)

If you are in the vicinity of Vatican city, do not miss out to eat at this place, the staff is lovelly, the prices are reasonable and the food is on spot. We had carbonara and next day came for breakfast.
